Analytics & BI Practice Lead

Role Overview

 

Gerent is looking for an Analytics & BI Practice Lead who will be responsible for growing and developing a new  practice.  This is a unique opportunity to build and train a team from the ground up. This is a hands on-role so experience with Tableau is a must.  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical for a successful Analytics Practice Lead.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the building of the Analytics team: Including hiring, onboarding, mentoring of members
  • Champion the Analytics & BI Practice both internally and externally
  • Work cross-functionally with Sales and Marketing and product management teams to develop go-to-market strategies
  • Act as a liaison between the sales and technical teams to convert requirements into outcomes
  • Presales support including recommendation of best practices, business process, proposal creation & SOW creation & review, and client presentations
  • Establish and evolve analytic processes and standards following industry best practices
  •  Partner with functional teams to create and maintain performance metrics, measurements, and targets
  •  Design and create wireframes, dashboards that tell useful and actionable stories
  • Lead and participate in requirements gathering, document preparation, end-to-end solution design, technical spec preparation, development, deployment and post-production
  •  Architect data and transformation processes including dataflows and datasets
  • Collaborate with tech teams to extract and load data relevant for the solution

What we’re looking for:


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of developing in Tableau
  • 3+ years managing a team
  • 1+ year working with an offshore team
  • Strong understanding of BI and analytical concepts and data models
  • Proficient in at least one relational DB language
  • 2+ years leading and delivering analytics projects
  • Ability to lead discussion with business stakeholders, business process owners, technical project managers and technical teams
  • Expert knowledge of the sales and business processes and key metrics
  • Self driven to learn new technologies

 

 

Requirements

  •  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification
  • Must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer

  • Teamwork Ability to effectively team with peers in a large, matrixed organizations, including significant experience with off-shore teams and delivery

  • Communication and presentation skills — Must present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Innovation, creativity, and problem-solving —  Should be willing to think outside the box when confronting project challenges, building out practice assets and defining methods to train delivery resources.
  • Strategy - Must be able to lay out a strategy or roadmap for clients onboarding or amidst a digital transformation anchored in Financial Services use cases
