Role Overview

Gerent is on the lookout for talented Salesforce Business Analysts with experience in the Financial Services industry.You will be part of a team responsible for delivering enterprise cloud technology solutions to delight our clients and improve their quality of life at work. 

The Financial Services vertical is an area of growth for Gerent, where we are seeking people knowledgeable in the various sub verticals in the space such as retail & commercial banking, lending & mortgages, capital markets, insurance, venture capital/private equity, and wealth management.  The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of one or more of these spaces, as much of their responsibility will be focused on these areas.

Our Salesforce Business Analysts are responsible for supporting requirements gathering, business process mapping, QA testing and end user testing. They may also be required to complete some basic Salesforce configuration and post deployment support. As a Salesforce Business Analyst, you will work alongside Solution Architects, Technical Architects and Integration Architects as the Client Champion to advocate for solution elements that meet and exceed the clients expectations and underlying skills. You are a valuable asset to the team throughout the process of design, development, and deployment of large-scale enterprise solutions all while learning and growing your skill set.

The Business Analyst will have the opportunity to grow into a Solution Architect or Solution Consultant role with increased responsibility and experience. Gerent pays for all the examination vouchers for any Salesforce certifications and ensures you have the time to prepare and pass the certification exams. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Work with Financial Services clients and end users to gather, understand, and visualize their current business processes and priorities
  • Translate these priorities and processes into well defined business requirements
  • Develop user stories and future state to-be process flows to support the design, and development, and communication of Salesforce solutions for our clients
  • Work collaboratively with team members to aid in designing a solution that will meet a client’s business requirements and fulfill user stories
  • Complete the configuration for user stories within Salesforce, AppExchange products
  • Collaborate with developers to test and verify that solutions will meet the business requirements
  • Participate in key meetings with clients including requirement sessions, system demos, user acceptance testing, and end user training
  • Complete Trailheads and Salesforce Certification on the following:
  • Financial Services Cloud
  • Sales Cloud
  • Service Cloud
  • Field Service
  • Experience Cloud
  • Industry Cloud
  • OmniStudio Consultant

What we’re looking for:


  • Working knowledge and/or experience in the Financial Services industry

  • Experience using Salesforce to develop client or business solutions
  • Experience soliciting, gathering, and analyzing user input and requirements
  • Experience documenting user stories and creating future state business process flow diagrams
  • Experience collaborating with business stakeholders
  • Hands on experience configuring Salesforce, including workflows, validation rules, and security controls
  • Experience working on iterative projects in an Agile environment
  • Proven ability leveraging analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to assist in developing test scenarios and test cases for the user stories
  • Ability to assist with the test execution and test sign-off for the solution built
  • Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly ramp up on new clients, their business needs, and technologies
  • Strong presentation, communication (written and verbal) skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks within a collaborative team environment
  • Demonstrates flexibility and willingness to do what it takes to get the job done
  • Drive and desire to learn and grow both technical and functional skill sets
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Technical competencies:

  • Experience and knowledge using standard Financial Services software products

  • Experience with Salesforce’s Financial Services Cloud product suite

  • Experience leveraging and configuring AppExchange products to develop a solution
  • Experience on a Salesforce implementation through the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Salesforce Admin Certification and one Consulting Cloud Certification (Sales, Service or Community) 
  • Facilitation skills
