Change Management Lead

Role Overview

Gerent is on the lookout for a Change Management Leader who can help our fast-expanding team empower enterprise clients through a digital transformation leveraging Salesforce as well as drive change activities for our own transformation. Ideal candidates will have a framework of tools and processes to guide our customers in an advisory level as well as build a team to help our customers execute the change as a service offering. They will support a variety of projects working closely with Industry Delivery Excellence Leaders, Project Managers, Training team members and Business Analysts  to ensure that every solution provides top value to Gerent’s customers with adoption as a paramount measure of success. Internally they will work with our Executive leadership team to define and facilitate the execution of internal change efforts.

*We are looking for Change Leaders with various degrees of experience at this time. Actual responsibilities and qualifications may vary slightly based on the level at which a candidate is hired. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities
  • Apply change management process and tools to create a strategy to support adoption of the changes required by a customer project or internal initiative
  • Support the design, development, delivery and management of communications
  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders
  • Identify and recommend areas of change and develop an organization change management plan based on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change
  • Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs
  • Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans including communication plans, sponsor support plans, coaching plans, and resistance management plans.

Where applicable you will: 

  • Complete change management assessments
  • Identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance, and identify specific actions to mitigate or address the concern
  • Consult and coach project teams
  • Support and engage senior leadership
  • Coach managers where necessary
  • Support organizational design and definition of roles and responsibilities
  • Integrate change management activities into a project plan
  • Evaluate and ensure user readiness
  • Manage stakeholders
  • Track and report issues
  • Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress
  • Support change management at the organizational level

What we’re looking for:


  • University degree or college diploma in Business Administration, Cognitive Science, Communication and/or Project Management (or equivalent experience) preferred.
  • Change management practitioner (CMP), Prosci or equivalent certification would be an asset
  • Salesforce certifications: Admin, <do we want to add any other as preferred?>


  • 8+ years of experience leading enterprise-wide change and communications for complex organizational transformational strategies and plans
  • 3 + years consulting experience, preferred
  • CRM consulting experience, preferred

Technical competencies:

  • Practical experience in one or more CRM software products (e.g., Salesforce, Siebel, Oracle, Clarify, Vantive, PeopleSoft, NetSuite, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Waterfall and/or Agile methodologies

Soft skills:

  • People leadership — Experience managing stakeholder relationships and influence senior executives across an organization.
  • Teamwork — Must collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical team members during projects.  Ability to problem-solve and manage conflict.
  • Client focus — Must apply a client-centric mindset and ensure that all projects keep clients’ stated needs and goals top of mind.  
  • Accountability — Must be willing to take ownership of and responsibility for their customers project success.
  • Communication and Organizational skills — Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Innovation, creativity, and problem-solving —  Should be willing to think outside the box when confronting project challenges, building out practice assets and defining methods to train delivery resources. 
  • Creativity - Must be able to research and/or create methods of engaging people to drive change.
