Content Marketing Manager

Role Overview

Responsibilities:


Team Leadership: Effectively lead and mentor a high-performing team of content writers/marketers.


Content Strategy: Use data-driven insights to develop a content marketing strategy that raises brand awareness, builds thought leadership, improves brand positioning, and generates marketing qualified leads. Drive the optimal content mix and ensure all content, including but not limited to white papers, blogs, case studies, podcasts, and videos are produced in alignment with Gerent's brand and messaging objectives.


Editorial Calendar: Plan and execute editorial calendar while ensuring content aligns with key strategies, trends, insights, and best practices on an ongoing basis.


Hands-On Content Writing & Creation: Develop thought leadership content in partnership with industry and subject matter experts. Write white papers, blogs, case studies, email messaging, web copywriting, collaterals, and social posts.


Copy Editing + Proof Reading: Drive execution excellence and quality assurance by owning copy editing and proofreading of all content that gets published. 


Consumer Insights: Conduct research and analyze data to identify insights that lead to strategic solutions and tactics. Analyze the ROI effectiveness of marketing content and lead generation programs.


Process Improvement: Develop, implement, and refine content production processes to improve team efficiency and manage workloads.


Annual Planning: Support VP of Marketing in developing annual marketing plans.

Qualifications:


  • BA in creative writing, communications, marketing, literature, technical writing or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience creating and writing content for the web and growing a social audience
  • 5-7 years of professional writing and/or editorial experience
  • Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it
  • Ability to analyze and present content and social performance
  • Experience with all top social channels
  • Project management skills — understanding how to manage multiple stakeholder priorities in a complex environment and delivering results in terms of engagement, leads and sales
  • Proven computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint, Microsoft Word, Adobe Photoshop. Video editing skills are a bonus.
  • Experience with SEO and web analytics is an asset
