Role Overview

Gerent is looking for Marketing Cloud Developers with various degrees of experience at this time. Outlined below are the responsibilities and qualifications that are typically expected of our Developers. The actual responsibilities and qualifications may vary slightly based on the experience and the level at which a candidate may get hired.


Marketing Cloud Developers will join the Delivery team at Gerent who shares our vision of bringing the power of custom processes to life.Marketing Cloud Developers are experienced professionals on our project teams accountable for developing intuitive emails, CSS, site mapping and landing pages that adhere to design requirements. They must also understand the overall solution design, user scenarios and technical constraints in achieving a desired state. They work closely with various technical and non-technical team members (Solution Architects, Consultants, Business Analysts and customers) , across complex, enterprise and strategic projects. In addition they may work with our leadership team, using iterative and test-driven design methods to develop comprehensive designs.


They are experienced in Salesforce Marketing Cloud products and can articulate what can be achieved with out of the box or custom configurations. They are keenly interested in understanding our customers' business, have a deep curiosity and can explore the “why” behind how our customers work. They possess strong design skills, take an empathetic approach to expectations and advice on usability. They are in relentless pursuit of ensuring we deliver value for customers. 


The Marketing Cloud Developer will have the opportunity to grow into a Solution Architect, Consultant, Delivery Leader or Industry Leader. Gerent pays for all the examination vouchers for any Salesforce certifications and ensures you have the time to prepare and pass the certification exams.

What you’ll do: 


  • Build and test marketing and email campaigns including personalization and dynamic content across different Marketing Cloud Studios
  • Develop email templates, which will include coding of emails using HTML, CSS and AMPscript
  • Identify and confirm technical design risks and develop mitigating approaches


  • Refine implementation estimates and plans for phases of the delivery lifecycle, including development, testing, training, communication, deployment, and post-production support 
  • Demonstrate solution functionality to business stakeholders as needed
  • Assist in end-user acceptance testing by developing the test cases and the acceptance criteria
  • Perform impact analysis for scope change requests, document changes to requirements, configuration, and data mapping
  • Participate in declarative system configuration when necessary
  • Provide technical and functional expertise to project teams
  • Participate in training content development and Administrator and end-user training delivery
  • Complete Partner Learning Camp/Salesforce Certification(s) on the following within 12 months of joining:
  • Marketing Cloud Developer
  • Interaction Studio Accredited Professional

What we’re looking for:



Experience


  • 2+ years of experience working in Salesforce Marketing Cloud products, including Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio, Content Builder, Journey Builder
  • Experience with Interaction Studio or Datorama a strong plus
  • Marketing Cloud Email Specialist and Marketing Cloud Developer certifications
  • Experience with setting up communication sends, content management, and data management within Salesforce Marketing Cloud 
  • Proficient with SFMC Content Builder tool Develop HTML emails using SFMC WYSIWYG HTML and CSS
  • ​​Understand industry best practices related to email development
  • Leverage AMPscript, JavaScript and other SFMC scripting languages for email and web page personalization
  • Leverage SOAP and REST API for web integrations
  • Strong presentation skills to effectively present to a variety of audiences
  • Experience in delivering projects using Agile-based methodologies
Preferred Requirements
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and/or Information Technology (or equivalent experience).
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification
  • Relevant Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or similar digital marketing platform) development experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in software development or programming
  • 2+ years’ experience with HTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript
  • 2+ years’ experience with SOAP APIs, REST APIs and integration techniques
  • Familiarity with security standards such as TLS, SSL, SSO and data encryption
  • Ability to communicate best practices at various levels within an organization
  • 1+ years’ experience with HTML, XML, CSS and JavaScript
  • 1+ years’ experience with SOAP APIs, REST APIs and integration techniques
  • Familiarity with security standards such as TLS, SSL, SSO and data encryption
  • Ability to communicate best practices at various levels within an organization
