Role Overview

Job Summary:


Riverstrong is looking for driven lead Marketing Specialists who possess the grit and

energy to help us grow in an IT MSP start-up environment wearing many hats. Our ideal

candidate is a strategic and creative thinker with strong hands-on, executional skills.

Although this role is an individual contributor, it requires an experienced professional who

can orchestrate a cross-functional team to deliver content and campaigns that elevate

our brand and drive measurable results. He/she will be comfortable with day-to-day

marketing activities, planning and implementing web, social, email, content, and event

marketing strategies, and thrives in change. If you are a people-person who loves the

What you'll do:

This role will work closely with Riverstrong leaders to drive marketing excellence. You will

help develop and define the Marketing foundations for an IT Managed Services Provider.

Brand Strategy: Use data-driven insights to develop marketing strategies that raise brand

awareness, drive customer growth, improve brand positioning, and generate marketing

qualified leads.

Go-To-Market: Plan and execute go-to-market strategy; create and deliver differentiated

value proposition and key assets to prospects and customers.

Content: Develop thought leadership content in partnership with industry and subject

matter experts. Write blogs, case studies, email messaging, web copywriting, collaterals,

and social posts.

Lead Generation: Plan, manage, and execute email campaigns and other brand programs

and activations that drive Marketing Qualified Leads.

Market Research & Analytics: Conduct research and analyze data to identify insights that

lead to strategic solutions and tactics. Analyze the ROI effectiveness of marketing

activations and lead generation programs.

Distribution & Promotion: Build brand awareness through a robust content distribution

and promotion strategy.

Events: Manage the day-to-day planning and execution of customer-facing events,

industry conferences, and trade shows, including pre- and post-event communications


and attendee management. Negotiate and execute contracts for both large and small-

scale events.

Partnership: Work with cross-functional team to bring strategies to life; establish external

partnerships that enhance our value proposition; collaborate across the marketing team

and with other key partners to drive best practices, shared learnings, and efficiencies.

Annual Planning: Support VP of Marketing in the development of annual marketing plans

learning and relearning

 Ability to multi-task, and remain composed in high-pressure situations


 Team player who is results-oriented and dedicated to team success


Qualifications:


 Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing Management, Business Management,

Communications or a related field

 3-5 years of experience working in the marketing field with emphasis on digital

marketing and the ability to bring brainstormed ideas to reality; must have a full

understanding of current digital marketing strategies and best practices

 Proven computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word,

Adobe Photoshop. Video editing skills are a bonus.

 Experience with SEO and web analytics an asset
