Project Manager, Financial Services

Role Overview

Gerent is looking for a Project Manager with experience in the Financial Services industry to join the Delivery team at Gerent. You will be responsible for overseeing managing the project deliverables, client satisfaction and overall program delivery.  PMs will be working closely with various technical and non-technical team members and in managing and running complex and strategic Client programs. 


The Financial Services vertical is an area of growth for Gerent, where we are seeking people knowledgeable in the various sub verticals in the space such as retail & commercial banking, lending & mortgages, capital markets, insurance, venture capital/private equity, and wealth management.  The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of one or more of these spaces, as much of their responsibility will be focused on these areas.


You will be the subject matter expert, who actively participates in the project, scoping, design, build, implementation and successful deployment of various Salesforce initiatives, with the end goal of delivering value for customers.

We are looking for PMs  with various degrees of experience at this time. Outlined below are the responsibilities and qualifications that are typically expected of PMs. The actual responsibilities and qualifications may vary slightly based on the experience and the level at which a candidate may get hired.


Project Manager will join the implementation team at Gerent, tasked for overseeing the production of deliverables, working closely with various technical and non-technical team members, managing and running more complex and strategic technical projects. 

You will be the subject matter expert, who actively participates in the project, scoping, design, build, implementation and successful deployment of various Salesforce initiatives, with the end goal of delivering value for customers. 



What you’ll do: 


  • Create and manage project plans; monitor and review project progress and timelines; adjust schedules and plans as needed; and identify and resolve issues to ensure project success. 
  • Manage day-to-day execution of project implementations. Assist with the planning, tracking, documentation and status updates for the project. 
  • Exercise solid project leadership skills combined with strong business acumen and in-depth analytic skills. 
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and assist with the creation of project deliverables, as needed. 
  • Ability to provide hands on configuration and customization of the Salesforce product in all declarative tasks would be nice to have.
  • Define and Manage the stage gate reviews during the projects to meet the compliance standards that are established
  • Responsible for managing the programs as outlined in the SOW and mitigating the risk. In the case of any deviations from the original SOW, PMs are responsible for working with the delivery leadership to raise the appropriate Change Orders.
  • Adopt a standardized development lifecycle methodology for all projects.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage the Salesforce platform and various integration tools. 
  • Participate in end to end implementation planning including project management, issue management, communication and change management. 
  • Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with client project stakeholders by providing vision and future product roadmapping.
  • Work well with customers, internal technology and product teams to articulate issues and communicate effectively 
  • Work independently, prioritize, and solve problems proactively 
  • Complete Trailheads and Salesforce Certification on the following 
  • Financial Services Cloud
  • App builder
  • Vlocity Platform Consultant
  • Community Cloud Consultant

What we’re looking for:



Experience


  • Working knowledge and/or experience in the Financial Services industry
  • Experience and knowledge using standard Financial Services software products
  • Experience with Salesforce’s Financial Services Cloud product suite
  • Experience implementing Small, Medium and Enterprise scale Salesforce solutions 
  • Multiple Salesforce.com Certifications (Admin, Consultant, Developer, Architect) 
  • Demonstrated project leadership skills, with direct responsibility for managing project teams, budget and schedule. 
  • Demonstrated project management skills with teams of varying size. 
  • Demonstrated history of delivering high quality results on schedule and within budget. 
  • Outstanding and effective interpersonal skills; along with strong communication skills both verbal and written. 
  • Ability to weigh business and technical requirements to produce project plans and estimates. 
  • Extensive external consulting experience, including CRM consulting; and hands-on experience with Salesforce. 
  • Hands on ability in configuration and declarative development. 
  • Manage and communicate with remote developers during non-traditional business hours. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high energy, team-oriented environment. 
  • Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure. 
  • PMP Certification highly preferred
