Role Overview

Gerent is looking for Technical Architects with experience in the Financial Services industry to join the Delivery team at Gerent, who shares our vision of bringing the power of cloud computing to enterprises. Technical Architects are experienced professionals on our project teams responsible for overseeing the overall technical solution, development and related deliverables. They work closely with various technical and non-technical team members, managing and running complex, enterprise and strategic projects.

They are the subject matter expert, who actively participates in the project, scoping, design, build, implementation and successful deployment of various Salesforce initiatives, with the end goal of delivering value for customers. 

The Technical Architect will have the opportunity to grow into a Certified Technical Architect (CTA) in Salesforce. Gerent pays for all the examination vouchers for any Salesforce certifications and ensures that you have time to prepare and pass the certification exams.

The Financial Services vertical is an area of growth for Gerent, where we are seeking people knowledgeable in the various sub verticals in the space such as retail & commercial banking, lending & mortgages, capital markets, insurance, venture capital/private equity, and wealth management.  The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of one or more of these spaces, as much of their responsibility will be focused on these areas.

We are looking for Technical Architects with various degrees of experience at this time. Outlined below are the responsibilities and qualifications that are typically expected of our Technical Architects. The actual responsibilities and qualifications may vary slightly based on the experience and the level at which a candidate may get hired.

What you’ll do: 

  • Deliver detailed design of Salesforce related projects from inception through production support by using UML diagrams, design documentation and best-practice methodologies 
  • Ensure that the system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business unit, ensuring that proper testing is conducted and performance requirements are closely monitored by working with the development teams.
  • Work closely with Delivery Managers, Functional Solution Architects, and directly with clients to architect technology solutions to meet Financial Services client needs.
  • Design transformational technical solutions by working directly with customers to meet their business requirements in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Lead and mentor the development team on the project.
  • Enforce sound development practices and ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the client.
  • Work collaboratively and have very strong communications skills, especially in teaching complex technical concepts, and creative, prescriptive thinking
  • Identify and lead internal strategic initiatives to grow the consulting practice; serving as an active contributor to the overall knowledge base and expertise of the community.

What we’re looking for:


  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+years of experience in developing technology solutions.
  • 2+years of experience in managing external client projects in positions of increasing responsibility in the delivery of business consulting and systems development.
  • Specializes in gathering and analyzing information and designing comprehensive solutions that are flexible and adaptable to the client's needs.
  • Relevant Salesforce platform development experience
  • Relevant Salesforce certifications
  • Experience and knowledge using standard Financial Services products
  • Experience with Salesforce’s Financial Services Cloud product suite
  • Experience in designing and developing software components and having a very strong Service Oriented Architecture and integration background. 
  • Experience in Salesforce (SFDC) CRM with end to end implementation experience. integration experience, including between different business systems as well as working with integration tools. 
  • Proficiency in programming using Salesforce SFDC,, Java, JavaScript, and XML and their use in the development of CRM solutions. 
  • Strong experience with configuration, customization, programming with APEX APIs, APEXTriggers, and implementing new instances of from scratch. 
  • Strong practical deployment knowledge of VisualForce, Flex, Salesforce configurations,Apex classes, APEX Web services, API, AppExchange deployment, and s-controls. 
  • Ability to define the system landscape, to identify gaps between current and desired end-states, and deliver a CRM solution. 
  • experience includes Workflow Alerts and Actions, and ApprovalWorkflow. 
  • Programming experience with the following languages, J2EE, HTML XML, SQL, Oracle.

  • Strategy - Must be able to lay out a strategy or roadmap for clients onboarding or amidst a digital transformation anchored in Financial Services use cases
