What is the Role?
Technical architects will join the implementation team at Gerent who shares our vision of bringing the power of cloud computing to enterprises. Technical Architects are experienced professionals on our project teams accountable for solution design of custom components, provisioning of identity and access management as well as managing environment strategies. Technical architects are a key member contributing to end to end solution design. They are accountable for executing build tickets of medium and complex functionality where custom code is required. They work closely with various technical and non-technical team members, managing and running more complex, enterprise and strategic technical projects. The technical architect partners with the solution architect and business analysts or architects, to ensure proposed or built solutions will drive the desired business outcomes.
They are a senior resource, taking ownership of understanding how Salesforce products can be leveraged to meet desired business outcomes. They have a deep curiosity and can explore the “why” behind how our customers work. They possess strong business analysis skills, take an empathetic approach to requirements gathering and facilitate customer workshops.
The Technical Architect will have the opportunity to grow into an Enterprise Architect. Gerent pays for all the examination vouchers for any Salesforce certifications and ensures you have the time to prepare and pass the certification exams.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a Trusted Advisor, drive conversations with our customer's Enterprise Architects and Business Stakeholders armed with best practices for enterprise architecture functions such as Security, Performance, Development Process, and Application Governance
Advise and mentor diverse teams, which include customer and partner resources in technical and functional delivery aspects at a project level, using influence and adaptive communication strategies in scenarios where Technical Architect does not have direct authority over all resources
Review requirements and solution to confirm technical details are sufficient for custom code execution
Accountable for technical solution and associated build tickets
Provide customs solutions for enhanced UI needs and mockups where applicable
Design identity and access management solutions (e.g SSO) for customer requirements
Review, analyze and summarize customer technical debt for legacy orgs providing solution or recommendations for approach and remediation
Design security solutions that adhere to license restrictions and apply appropriate configuration options that meet customers requirements
Define environment management and deployment approach
Perform the duties of a release manager ensuring environments are controlled and processes are adhered to
Execute deployments and resolve apex test class failures
Guide testing strategies leveraging manual and automated testing approaches
Provide guidance on application and integration development best practices, Enterprise Architecture standards, functional and technical solution architecture & design, environment management, testing, and Force. com Platform education.
Support decisions on data lifecycle management approach to optimize performance.
Support data migration strategies, including understanding impacts of data volume.
Support integration design between clouds and external systems, including integration patterns.
Support determination of when to use cavan app, heroku etc.
Design security solutions that adhere to license restrictions and apply appropriate configuration options that meet customers requirements.
Support discussions on org strategy considerations.
Drive the creation of application and technical design documents which leverage Salesforce best practices and effectively integrate Salesforce into the customer's infrastructure.
Documentation of technical debt analysis for remediation.
Adherence to code standards.
Document solution designs and data models. (ERD and Logical)
Demonstrate solution functionality to business stakeholders as needed.
Document solution narratives.
Support development of roadmap and appropriate order of operations.
Understanding business requirements gathered and leading technical discovery sessions with clients
Understand solution architecture and challenge where appropriate
Troubleshoot key customer implementation issues and demonstrate ability to drive to successful resolution. Lead the evaluation of business and technical requirements from a senior level.
Contribute to the growth of the Services Practice by identifying and leading internal strategic initiatives to grow the consulting practice, leveraging junior teammates to achieve individual as well as team growth; serving as an active contributor to the practice knowledge and resource base; mentor, educate, and enrich technical and non-technical Salesforce customer and partner colleagues
Manage a team of Senior Developers (4) and mentor Junior Developers
Keep abreast of platform advancements in declarative options with Salesforce releases
Perform impact analysis for scope change requests, document changes to requirements, configuration, and data mapping
Support end-to-end cross-discipline leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.
Accountable for on-time, high quality software project deliveries, including Analysis, Design, Development and Quality Assurance.
Exercise solid project leadership skills combined with strong technical acumen and in-depth analytic skills.
Identify project risk with scope creep and offer solutions to customers centered on impact to the business process.
Assist with the planning, tracking, documentation and status updates for the project.
Adopt a standardized implementation lifecycle methodology for all projects.
Participate in end to end implementation planning including project management, issue management, communication and change management.
Establish and maintain trusted advisor relationships with client project stakeholders by providing vision and future product roadmapping.
Superb writing, communication and presentation skills
Ability to work well with customers, internal technology and product teams to articulate issues and communicate effectively
Ability to work independently, prioritize, and solve problems proactively
Experience working in small collaborative teams
Experience with technical issues and ability to work constructively with engineering teams
Experience leading, managing and coordinating teams & efforts
Acquire 10 SF certifications and complete Gerent learning program for Business Analysis, Consultants and Architects
Qualifications:
Technical architecture experience in multiple industries, with a proven ability to deliver on strategic and tactical business objectives
10+ years of external consulting experience, including 7+ years of CRM consulting; and hands-on experience with one or more CRM software products such as Salesforce, Siebel, Oracle, Clarify, Vantive, PeopleSoft, NetSuite, etc.
Experience implementing Small, Medium and Enterprise scale Salesforce solutions
Experience delivering waterfall, agile and hybrid projects
Experience with best practices working with LDV
Experience with data modeling
Experience with leading conversations with large customer groups (5-30)
Seasoned in implementing identity management and provisioning SSO or alike
Experience with testing automation
Experience with reviewing and analyzing custom code
Seasoned in DevOps
Demonstrated leadership skills, with direct responsibility for managing project deliverables.
Demonstrated history of delivering high-quality results on schedule and within budget
Outstanding and effective interpersonal skills; along with strong communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to weigh business and technical requirements to produce solutions and estimates
Ability to lead both small and enterprise-wide engagements, facilitate meetings, mentoring teams of junior team members and effectively supporting client escalations
Manage and communicate with remote developers during non-traditional business hours
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment
Ability to multi-task and perform effectively under pressure
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Multiple Salesforce.com Certifications (Admin, Sales Cloud Consultant, Service Cloud Consultant, App Builder, Platform developer 1, etc.)
